Hey toy aficionados! Buckle up because the latest wave of DC Super Powers figures has landed, and boy, are they a treat. Let’s dive into Wave 8 featuring Black Manta, Guy Gardner, Booster Gold, and Metamorpho. If you remember the joy of the original DC Super Powers line like I do, you’re in for a nostalgic ride!
DC Super Powers Wave 8 Black Manta (Black Suit)

First up, the Black Manta in a new black suit. This figure is sleek and menacing, capturing the essence of Aquaman’s archenemy perfectly. The detail on the suit is fantastic, with sharp lines and a glossy finish that makes him stand out. His iconic helmet looks fierce, ready to terrorize the seas. I’m particularly impressed by the articulation which, for a Super Powers figure, is pretty solid.
DC Super Powers Wave 8 Guy Gardner (Green Lantern)

Next, we have Guy Gardner, the brash Green Lantern we all love (or love to hate). His figure is spot-on, with his trademark scowl and bright green uniform. The accessories are a nice touch, particularly his power ring which looks great in any pose. It’s clear the designers paid attention to the small details that make Guy, well, Guy. This figure is a must-have for any Green Lantern collection.
DC Super Powers Wave 8 Metamorpho

Metamorpho, the Element Man, joins the fray with his vibrant, multi-colored look. This figure captures his bizarre and brilliant design with exceptional paintwork. From his rocky arm to the translucent leg, each part of Metamorpho is recreated with love. He’s one of those figures that will surely grab attention on your shelf due to his unique appearance.
DC Super Powers Wave 8 Booster Gold

Last but not least, Booster Gold. The time-traveling hero looks as flamboyant as ever in this new figure. His shiny gold and blue costume is eye-catching, and his smug grin is just perfect. Plus, his little robot sidekick Skeets is a charming addition. This figure not only looks great but also brings a bit of 25th-century flair to the collection.
Original DC Super Powers Nostalgia
Speaking of nostalgia, do any of you remember the original DC Super Powers line from the 80s? I’ve got fond memories of playing with those figures, and one of my all-time favorites was the Penguin with his firing umbrella. I even restored mine in a recent video on my YouTube channel, where I fixed the mechanism and gave him a fresh look. Check it out if you haven’t already—it’s a blast from the past!
