If you ever emptied your pockets at the chances are you’ve crossed paths with Wolverine and Silver Samurai in Capcom’s legendary fighting games. Fast forward to 2025, and Hasbro’s Marvel Legends team has decided it’s time these two square off again, this time, in plastic form. The new Marvel Legends Capcom Wolverine vs Silver Samurai 2-Pack is a loving nod to their pixelated brawls in titles like X-Men: Children of the Atom and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and the result is both a nostalgia bomb and a showcase of updated action figure design.

Accessories, Paint, and Sculpt Details in the Capcom-Inspired 2-Pack

Hasbro’s done well on the extras front here. You get 11 accessories between the pair, Wolverine comes with alt hands and a signature “X” slash effect that practically yells “berserker barrage” when you look at it. That effect piece even plugs into a clear stand so he can be posed mid-attack, just like the old sprites.

Silver Samurai’s got a more measured loadout, but no less dramatic, a katana, a throwing star with a trailing energy sculpt, and an electricity effect that clips to his blade. It’s pure arcade energy. I half expected the box to hum like a CRT monitor when I opened it.

The paint work is sharp and vivid. Wolverine’s suit pops in that Capcom-style blue and yellow combo, complete with black shoulder pads. Silver Samurai’s armour has a satisfying metallic finish, and there’s great detail on the sculpt, right down to the intricate plating. It’s more arcade cabinet than film adaptation, and that’s exactly the point.

Articulation and Display Potential

These figures aren’t just shelf candy, they’re fully poseable, with the articulation we’ve come to expect from the line. Wolverine gets all the usual bends and ball joints, which is ideal for lunges and aerial attacks. His torso cut and butterfly joints really let you open up his claw poses.

Silver Samurai may be armoured, but his articulation isn’t too hindered. He can still swing that sword with conviction. And I have to give Hasbro props for including those clear display stands. Too often, effect pieces just end up leaning against things. Here, they’re part of the display language, each figure looks like it’s in motion.

As someone who likes posing figures mid-attack, and has knocked over far too many during minor desk earthquakes, I appreciate the added stability.

Capcom Wolverine Silver Samurai Pre-Order, Release Date & Where to Buy

The Marvel Legends Capcom Wolverine vs Silver Samurai 2-Pack released on June 5, 2025, and is priced at $59.99 USD / £60.99 GBP. You’ll find it on Hasbro Pulse and select fan channels, but if you’re even mildly tempted, don’t wait around. This isn’t a mass-retail mainline release, it’s targeting fans who already know why these designs matter.

How It Compares to Other Marvel Legends Video Game Sets

When stacked up against other releases, like the Fantastic Four: First Steps figures or even game-adjacent lines like Jada Toys’ Ultra Street Fighter II Vega figure, this 2-Pack goes heavier on visual impact. Hasbro didn’t play it safe here. The sculpt choices, colours, and accessories all scream 90s arcade excess, and that’s what makes it stand out.

Yes, some of the body parts are reused, a tale as old as Legends, but the overall presentation overshadows the shortcuts.

Final Thoughts

The Wolverine vs Silver Samurai Marvel Legends Capcom edition is one of those sets that hits right if you were there for the Marvel vs. Capcom heyday, or if you just love flashy, well-executed action figures. It’s bright, it’s over-the-top, and it celebrates a very specific slice of Marvel’s multimedia history.

Would I have liked a slightly more unique body sculpt for Wolverine? Sure. Do I care when I’ve got a translucent yellow “X” slash hurtling toward Silver Samurai on a stand? Not really.

If you’re building out the best Marvel Legends video game-inspired 2-Packs, this is a strong contender for top tier.
