This new 2-pack features premium design and articulation, with accessories like blasters and a data disk for the Rebel Trooper. Priced at $44.99, it’s available for pre-order with a September 2024 release.
Seeing these figures brings back memories of my cherished Kenner collection from the late ’70s and early ’80s. Those were simpler times when I’d spend hours recreating epic battles with my original Rebel and Stormtrooper figures. Now, Hasbro has beautifully captured that nostalgia while adding modern flair.
Star Wars Rebel Trooper
The Rebel Trooper figure is packed with details. The removable helmet and the data disk accessory are straight out of the movie, enhancing its authenticity. The figure’s articulation is excellent, allowing for dynamic poses that the original Kenner figures could only dream of.
Star Wars Stormtrooper
The Stormtrooper is, as always, iconic. The crisp white armor and classic blaster are perfectly recreated. This figure feels like it stepped right out of the Death Star corridors.
Connecting Past and Present
My love for A New Hope is deeply rooted in those early days of collecting Kenner figures. This new set by Hasbro is a wonderful bridge between the past and the present. It’s like revisiting an old friend who’s gotten a fantastic makeover.
