If you’re anything like me, the sight of new McFarlane Toys figures is enough to spark a childlike giddiness that only a fresh wave of action figures can bring. Enter Wave 4 of The New Batman Adventures line, and it’s a corker! This wave gives us Batman in a bold blue and grey deco, the long-awaited Riddler, and a downright creepy Scarecrow. Let’s dive in, detail by detail, accessory by accessory, and see why this wave has me as excited as a kid with a Batman lunchbox.
Batman in Blue and Grey Deco (The New Batman Adventures)

Oh, this Batman takes me right back to my Saturday mornings in pyjamas, glued to the TV! McFarlane has pulled out all the stops with this classic comic book-inspired deco. The blue accents—on his cowl, cape, gloves, and boots—contrast beautifully with the light grey bodysuit. It’s a true homage to the 90s animated series while still feeling fresh.

Accessories:
- Batarang: Because you can’t have Batman without one, right?
- Grapnel launcher
- Figure Stand: A sturdy touch that makes posing him a dream.
- Replica animation cel
As someone who’s spent hours lovingly restoring Batmobiles and bat-gadgets from the same era, I can’t wait to see this guy leading the charge on my display shelf.
The Riddler (The New Batman Adventures)

Finally! Edward Nygma joins the roster, looking dapper in his signature green suit with an oversized question mark plastered across his chest. This figure is so spot-on that you can almost hear his riddles echoing in your head. Seeing The Riddler make his debut in this line is a triumph for fans of The New Batman Adventures.

Accessories:
- Question Mark Cane: His signature accessory, perfect for pondering life’s greatest mysteries.
- 4 extra hands:
- Figure Stand: A nice addition to ensure he doesn’t topple mid-scheme.
- Replica animation cel
The Riddler’s design in The New Batman Adventures always leaned towards a sleeker, more sinister vibe, and McFarlane nails it here. If you’re a fan of quirky villains (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), this one is a must-have.
The Riddler has always been one of my favourite characters in the Batman universe. In The New Batman Adventures, he was given a sleek, minimalistic redesign that made him all the more intriguing. This figure captures that perfectly, right down to the sharp edges of his green ensemble.

Scarecrow – Fear Comes to Life (The New Batman Adventures)

Every good Batman line-up needs a dose of nightmare fuel, and Scarecrow delivers in spades. This figure feels like it stepped straight out of a Gotham horror film. His tattered clothing, haunting mask, and elongated limbs are captured with eerie precision.

Accessories:
- 6 extra hands
- Replica animation cel
- Figure Stand: Because even the Master of Fear needs some support.
The Scarecrow is one of those figures that’ll have pride of place in my collection, right next to my Mondo Scarecrow 1/6 Scale Figure. The attention to detail here rivals some of the higher-end collectibles I’ve worked with.
Why Wave 4 is a Standout
What sets Wave 4 apart is the sheer variety and thoughtfulness behind each figure. From Batman’s iconic colours to the Riddler’s playful intellect and Scarecrow’s bone-chilling menace, there’s something here for every fan. The accessories add a layer of depth, making these figures perfect for play or display.
For those catching up, don’t miss my take on Wave 3 of The New Batman Adventures Figures. Seeing the line evolve with each release is part of the fun, and Wave 4 feels like a culmination of everything McFarlane Toys does best.
