Full Review of DC Multiverse The Batman Batmobile

Let’s be honest, this is not just a toy, it is a beautifully sculpted homage to the film’s grimly elegant Batmobile. At 19 inches long, it is big enough to dominate your display shelf without hogging the whole desk. The rolling wheels and opening door bring a tactile realism that just elevates the play, or display, experience.

The matte black finish looks eerily slick in the images, and the cockpit canopy, paired with the subtle details like engine vents and side mechanics in the close-up shots, underlines McFarlane’s eye for faithful design. I appreciate that the sculpt emphasises angular, almost aggressive lines, this is not Cruise Missile on wheels, it is Panther in silhouette.

On the plus side, the scale, film-accurate stylings, and tactile features like the functional door and rolling wheels make it stand out from most Batmobile releases. It feels substantial, premium, and purposeful. On the flip side, the Batman figure is not included, which does leave the vehicle looking a little unmanned unless you already own or plan to buy one. It is a small frustration, but one that collectors will likely overlook in favour of the display impact.
The Batmobile in The Batman Movie

In the film, the Batmobile is less a car and more a custom built muscle machine, designed by Bruce Wayne and bristling with armour and gadgets. The raw, almost homemade aesthetic, with exposed front jet like intake and turret style sides, is reflected in this collectible.

Interestingly, concept artist Ash Thorp cited the classic “Bullitt” car as an inspiration, giving the design a grounded, realistic muscle car vibe rather than futuristic noir. That sense of gritty realism is what makes The Batman’s Batmobile feel most “believable”, and McFarlane’s toy echoes that vibe wonderfully.
