Dedra Meero (2024) Black Series Review
General Overview:
Imperial Intelligence has arrived! Dedra Meero makes her debut in the Black Series, and Hasbro has done a solid job capturing the cold, calculating ISB officer from Andor. The sharp sculpting on her uniform reflects the meticulousness of her character, and the head sculpt is one of the better likenesses in recent Black Series releases. With an included datapad, she’s ready to analyse Rebel threats on your display shelf.
Accessories & Functionality:
Dedra comes with a blaster and a datapad—simple but effective. The datapad is a nice inclusion, making her feel more like an intelligence officer rather than a frontline fighter. The lack of a holster is a minor letdown, as it means her blaster is either in her hand or left floating in the packaging.
Articulation & Poseability:
With 22 points of articulation, Dedra is easy to pose in command-style stances, whether she’s overseeing an interrogation or planning her next move against the Rebels. The range of motion is solid, especially for a figure without bulky armour or capes.
Head Sculpt & Paint Application:
The face sculpt is a highlight, capturing Denise Gough’s stern expression well. The digital face printing technology helps bring out the likeness, though the uniform could use some additional shading to break up the flat grey tones.
Final Thoughts:
For Andor collectors and Imperial enthusiasts, Dedra Meero is a must-have. She’s a fantastic addition to the Black Series, offering a well-executed sculpt and appropriate accessories. A few minor tweaks—like a holster and a bit more detailing on the uniform—would have made this a perfect figure, but even as is, she’s a strong release.
