Hasbro Legend of Zelda Figure Guide: Heroes of Hyrule Revealed

Hasbro has not eased into The Legend of Zelda. Its first Heroes of Hyrule wave goes straight for the three characters needed to make a proper display: Link, Princess Zelda and Ganondorf.

That is the most interesting part of this reveal. Rather than selling Link first and making collectors wait years for his main allies and enemies, Hasbro is offering a complete starting point. This hasbro Legend of Zelda figure guide looks at whether the figures themselves are strong enough to build on it.

Release Date: Spring 2027
MSRP / Price: Link $27.99, Zelda $27.99, Ganondorf $42.99
Edition Size / Production Run: Not announced
Manufacturer / License: Hasbro / Nintendo, based on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Link

Link looks like the safest starting point and probably the figure most people will try to buy first.

The sculpt captures his Tears of the Kingdom design without making him look too smooth or toy-like. His layered outfit, straps and equipment give the body plenty of detail. The fabric cape is also a sensible choice. A hard plastic cape could have blocked the shoulders and made sword poses harder to set up.

He has more than 20 points of articulation, although promo images cannot show how well those joints will move in hand. The tunic and other costume parts could still limit the hips or waist.

His accessories are well chosen. You get the Master Sword, Hylian Shield and a replacement Zonai power hand. That gives Link both a classic display and a game-specific option. A bow would have rounded out the package, but the main items are here.

At $27.99, the price feels reasonable by current six-inch figure standards. UK pricing has not been confirmed, so that could change the value once imports and local retailer prices are known.

Princess Zelda

Zelda is a quieter figure, but she may have the best character likeness of the three.

Her face, hair and long robes look close to the game design. The softer colours also separate her nicely from Link without making the figure look plain. Paint around the eyes and the small costume details will need to be clean on the final release. Faces like this can change a lot between a display sample and a mass-produced figure.

She includes more than 20 articulation points, though the long dress may restrict her legs. That matters less for Zelda than it would for an action-heavy character, but some seated or walking poses would still be useful.

The accessory count is light. She comes with the Decayed Master Sword and an interchangeable gripping hand. The sword is important to her part in the story, yet an extra hand or small effect piece would have helped at this price.

Collectors asking what Legend of Zelda figures did Hasbro reveal may overlook Zelda beside the two fighters. That would be a shame. She gives the first wave its story rather than leaving it as a simple hero-versus-villain display.

Ganondorf

Ganondorf is where the line starts to feel properly planned.

He stands 7.5 inches tall, so he should tower over the six-inch Link and Zelda figures. That difference is important. A Ganondorf made to the same height as Link would save money, but it would weaken the whole group.

There is a lot going on in the sculpt. The heavy clothing, armour, hair and jewellery make him look far more involved than a normal figure built on a basic body. The larger size also explains some of the jump to $42.99.

His Gloom Sword and scabbard suit the design, while the gripping hand gives collectors another posing choice. I would still have liked a second face or a Gloom effect at this price. The current set is good, but not packed.

The main concern is articulation. More than 20 joints sounds promising, but thick hair and layered costume parts can get in the way. Until production copies appear, we also cannot judge the strength of the joints or final paint quality.

Is This the Right Way to Start the Line?

Yes. Launching all three together gives Heroes of Hyrule an identity from day one.

Anyone hoping to buy Hasbro Legend of Zelda figures can make a complete display without mixing scales or waiting for an unknown second wave. The price of all three is not small, but each figure adds something different rather than repeating the same body with minor changes.

The bigger question is what follows. A useful Legend of Zelda action figures checklist could quickly expand through characters such as Purah, Sidon and Riju. Different versions of Link would be easy sells, but the line will be healthier if Hasbro keeps building the cast.

Collectors following the MCM London Age of the Primes exclusives will already know how quickly a strong reveal can become an availability problem. Link was listed as sold out on Hasbro Pulse shortly after launch, so anyone searching for a Hasbro Legend of Zelda pre-order may need to check other official retailers.

This first wave is not flawless. Zelda could use another accessory, and Ganondorf’s price asks a lot without effects or another head. Even so, Hasbro has understood the basic appeal. These three belong together, and the scale difference should make the full group look right.

That matters more than starting with ten versions of Link and no one for him to fight.
