The new Marvel Legends Comic-Con exclusive Savage Land set has officially landed, and it’s got fans buzzing louder than a pterodactyl in a Hot Wheels aisle. Featuring Shanna the She-Devil, Savage Land Rogue, and Sauron, the figures are drawn from their Marvel SNAP appearances, loaded with articulation, jungle-ready weaponry, and a lot of lush sculpted detail.

How Accurate Are the Marvel Legends Figures to the Gamerverse SNAP Designs?

To start, Marvel SNAP is a mobile and PC card battler where you build quick-fire 12-card decks and bluff your way to victory with the iconic “snap” mechanic. Since its 2022 debut, it’s grown into one of Marvel’s slickest and smartest games, and the art style has influenced toy design in more than one corner of the Marvel Legends multiverse.

The Shanna, Rogue, and Sauron Marvel Legends Gamerverse 3-Pack mostly nails the aesthetic. Sauron’s menacing snout, razor wings and glowing pink hypno-eyes scream SNAP energy. Shanna’s costume is simplified but accurate, while Rogue’s outfit is a faithful match to her Savage Land look in the game. That said, her face sculpt has split the fanbase. Think more “Vogue cover” than “battle-hardened mutant”. If you squint hard enough, maybe she’s just tired from carrying the X-Men on her back.

Poseability and Shelf Presence

The Hasbro Marvel Legends SDCC 2025 exclusive 3-Pack brings a strong showing in articulation. All three characters come with full joint ranges including shoulder rotation, hip swivels, and swappable accessories. Rogue and Shanna each come with alternate hands and melee gear, while Sauron flexes his wings and tail like he’s halfway through a kaiju cosplay.

Sauron’s base body is largely a retool of the BAF version but has pinless updates and cleaner sculpt lines. For collectors already owning the build-a-figure, this one may still warrant shelf space thanks to improved stability and game-accurate colour updates.

It’s the same quality bar we saw in the Marvel Legends Capcom Wolverine vs Silver Samurai release, which handled balance and posture with equal finesse.

Sculpting and Paint Application

Let’s go character by character.

Sauron

Gamerverse Marvel SNAP Savage Sauron

Sauron is absolutely the MVP. The detail on his snout, claws, and chest plates give him an intimidating silhouette. The neon pink eye-beam FX are a fun addition that really embrace the Gamerverse flair.

Shanna

Gamerverse Marvel SNAP Savage Shanna

Shanna looks solid in hand, even if her outfit leans flatter in colour compared to the dynamic in-game model. That rifle and spear combo give her a nice tactical vibe, and her face sculpt is expressive without being exaggerated.

Rogue

Gamerverse Marvel SNAP Savage rogue

Rogue is the wildcard. From the neck down, she’s one of the most screen-accurate versions we’ve seen. But that pouty expression doesn’t quite match the fierce jungle vibe. It’s closer to runway Rogue than survivalist mutant. Fans on Reddit weren’t shy pointing it out, and frankly, I agree. She could’ve used a more dynamic or neutral sculpt.

Still, when compared to previous entries like the Marvel Legends Madame Masque & Crossbones 2-Pack, the paint and finish here feel more deliberate and collector-focused.

Is This SDCC Exclusive Worth Hunting Down?

That’s the question on every collector’s lips. At $89.99 for three figures, it’s decent value if you want all three. But if you’re chasing just one character, and let’s be honest, most of us are after Rogue or Shanna, exclusivity stings. The limited run at San Diego Comic-Con combined with the fast sell-outs on Hasbro Pulse can make these sets more frustrating than fun.

The reuse of Sauron might make some collectors skip it altogether, but for those who missed his BAF release, this is a golden second chance. The same goes for Shanna, who has never had a proper Legends release. Rogue’s never had a Savage Land version either, so even with the controversial face sculpt, this is a first-timer with appeal.

One Redditor summed it up best, “Putting Shanna in an SDCC exclusive, lame” and I’m inclined to agree. A wide release would’ve let more fans enjoy her.

Final Verdict

The Marvel Legends Marvel SNAP Savage Land figures set is bold, fresh, and ambitious. You get a fan-favourite dino villain, a much-needed first-time Shanna, and a uniquely styled Rogue. The sculpt and articulation are solid, the design choices are largely faithful to their Snap counterparts, and the overall package fits snugly into the high bar of recent Marvel Legends Comic-Con releases.

That said, the exclusive status and the slight misstep with Rogue’s head sculpt may cause some hesitation. But if you’re into Gamerverse aesthetics and Savage Land lore, this pack still offers real value.
