Imperial Officer (The Dark Times) Black Series Review

General Overview:

Nothing screams "Imperial bureaucracy" like a sharply dressed Imperial Officer, and Hasbro’sThe Dark Times version delivers a solid representation of these cold and calculating enforcers from Andor. This figure offers a great base for collectors wanting to build their Imperial ranks. While the sculpt is crisp, the lack of removable accessories slightly limits display options.

Accessories & Functionality:

Included is a single blaster, which fits nicely in the figure’s grip. Unfortunately, the officer’s cap and coat are not removable, which reduces customisation possibilities. A few more accessories—perhaps a datapad or an alternate head sculpt—would have been a nice bonus.

Articulation & Poseability:

With 22 points of articulation, this officer is fully capable of striking commanding poses. However, the stiff coat restricts lower body movement, meaning action poses are somewhat limited. He stands well and balances without issue, though.

Head Sculpt & Paint Application:

The sculpting is clean, and the uniform details are well-defined. That said, the paintwork is a little too clean—some minor weathering or shading would have made it feel more realistic. The face printing is decent but feels somewhat generic.

Final Thoughts:

While not the most exciting release, the Imperial Officer (The Dark Times) is a solid choice for army builders and Andor collectors. The lack of removable accessories and paint detailing keeps it from being a standout, but it still earns a spot in any Imperial display. Just be prepared for the Walmart-exclusive  hunt if you’re looking for this one at retail prices.
