Monarch
A surprise pick from Countdown to Final Crisis. This is one of the most visually imposing figures in the line. His articulation is solid, though the shoulder pads might restrict extreme posing.

Opinion: Is Digital Wave 5 Worth It?
Let’s be honest, the digital aspect is a bonus at best. These figures stand on their own. The McFarlane DC Digital Wave 5 Classic Nightwing and Monarch figures are vibrant, dynamic and solid in hand. No Man’s Land Batman is easily one of the best Batman sculpts from McFarlane in recent years. And Batgirl adds much-needed character diversity to the shelf.
At £24.99, the value is good, especially considering the quality paint, improved articulation and consistent figure scale. If you’ve been burned by floppy joints or oversized heads in the past, this wave corrects those issues.
For those who enjoyed the rugged sculptwork on the Doom Slayer Elite Edition or the detailed weapons and armour of the Bloodaxe with Horse Spawn figure, Wave 5 continues that level of polish. And yes, the codes are a gimmick, but they don’t take away from the core appeal.
