Mon Mothma (2023) Black Series Review
General Overview:
The Andor series gave Mon Mothma a level of character depth we hadn’t seen before, and this Black Series figure does a great job of capturing her regal yet burdened presence. The sculpted robes are beautifully done, and the head sculpt is one of Hasbro’s better likenesses.
Accessories & Functionality:
Unfortunately, Mon Mothma comes with zero accessories. While she’s not exactly a blaster-wielding character, a datapad or some Senate-related prop would have made a huge difference.
Articulation & Poseability:
With 18 points of articulation, Mon Mothma is more of a display piece than an action figure. The long, sculpted robes restrict leg movement, meaning dynamic posing is pretty much off the table. However, she stands well and looks fantastic on a shelf.
Head Sculpt & Paint Application:
The digital face printing on this figure is excellent, and the costume detailing is crisp. Some collectors have noted minor paint inconsistencies, particularly around the eyes, but overall, the quality control seems solid.
Final Thoughts:
If you’re a Star Wars political drama enthusiast (and let’s be honest, that’s a niche market), Mon Mothma is a must-have. She’s not the most exciting figure in terms of articulation, but as a display piece, she adds an essential piece to any Andor or Rebel Alliance collection. The lack of accessories keeps this from being a perfect release, but she’s still a strong addition.
