Mondo’s 1/12 Masters of the Universe line is starting to feel more than just a smaller version of its 1/6 range. This new Mondo 200x Teela 1/12 scale figure shows why.
The angle here is simple. At $125, this Teela needs to feel like more than a basic figure with a couple of spare hands. From the early images and product details, Mondo seems to be aiming for a proper display piece, not just another boxed character for the shelf.

A Strong 200X Teela, Not Just Another Teela
The 200X look has always had a sharper edge than the classic Filmation style. Teela’s design from that era is leaner, more angular and more battle-ready. That is what this figure appears to be chasing.
The sculpt looks focused on that animated 200X feel rather than trying to soften her into a general MOTU look. The armour, hair shape and weapons all lean into that version of the character. For collectors who already have the earlier Teela figure by Mondo, this does not look like a simple repeat. It feels like a separate take with its own reason to exist.
Teela also matters to the line. She is not a background character. She is the Captain of the Royal Guard, a major Heroic Warrior, and one of the key people around Prince Adam. That makes this release feel more important than just filling a slot.
What You Get in the Box
This is where the Mondo Teela limited edition figure starts to make more sense at the price.
Teela comes with three portraits: standard, smiling and angry. That is useful, because Teela can look very different depending on how you pose her. A calm guard pose needs a different face from a sword-swinging battle stance.
She also includes a swappable ponytail, fist hands, C-grip hands, neutral hands, sword, staff, shield, figure stand and environmental base. The big bonus is Orko, listed as his own companion figure with a separate stand that can connect to the base or be used on its own.
That matters. A lot of 1/12 figures at this price can feel light if the box is mostly empty space. Here, the display options look much stronger.
Scale, Display and Practical Concerns
Teela stands 6.8 inches to the top of her hair. Orko comes in at 3.25 inches to the top of his hat. That should give the pair a nice height contrast, especially with Orko floating beside her on his stand.
The base is a smart move too. Some collectors like clean shelves with no stands showing. Others want a small scene around the figure. This set seems to offer both.
The main question is articulation. Mondo’s promo page shows the parts, but it does not give a full joint breakdown. So it is worth being careful here. The figure looks like it should pose well, but until collectors have it in hand, we cannot judge range, balance or final QC.
Paint is another one to watch. The images show a neat, polished finish, but final production can always vary. Small details on faces and eyes are where a figure like this either really lands or starts to feel off.
How It Fits in the Line
The Masters of the Universe 200x Teela Mondo figure has a clear line-building role. Mondo is not just giving us another classic-style MOTU figure. It is building out the 200X corner of Eternia, which has its own fanbase and its own visual style.
That is good news if you prefer the bolder, early-2000s designs. It also gives collectors another route alongside Mattel’s own MOTU lines. If you are more into the retro side, something like MOTU Origins Wave 30 may still be more your lane. But if you want a more detailed 1/12 display, this Teela has a stronger collector focus.

I would still want to see final production samples before calling the paint and articulation a win. But based on what Mondo has shown, this is a strong-looking 200X release with a clear place in the line.
For collectors who love that era, this is probably going to be hard to ignore. For everyone else, the price means it is worth thinking about whether you want a full 200X shelf or just the odd favourite character.
