Mondo is back at it with a fresh release that’s got fans of The Real Ghostbusters animated series fired up. Their latest 1/12 scale collector’s set pairs team stalwart Winston Zeddemore with one of the cartoon’s creepiest villains, the Sandman. Available now as part of a timed pre order that runs through 17 July 2025, the set retails for $202, with Winston also sold separately at $101. Expected to ship in February 2026, this release continues Mondo’s run of highly detailed, screen-inspired figures from the classic series.
In this post, we’ll break down how screen accurate these new additions are, what accessories and articulation you’re getting for your money, and how this set stacks up with the rest of the line. We’ll also touch on the upcoming Ray and Ghash pack and whether this release earns a spot in your collection.

- Pre order: 17 June–17 July 2025 (timed edition)
- Price: $202 (collector set) / $101 (individual Winston)

How screen accurate are Mondo’s Winston & Sandman figures to the animated series?

Judging by the official images, Mondo’s Winston Zeddemore brings his cartoon counterpart to life with striking accuracy. The stylised head sculpt, jumpsuit proportions and colour palette all line up with the animated aesthetic. The alternate stern face gives Winston just the right dose of Saturday-morning gravitas.

Sandman is no slouch either. His sleepy expression, dark overcoat, and those unnervingly chill eyes are spot-on to his appearance in the iconic episode. Even the orange accenting is faithfully captured. While we haven’t had these in hand yet, the photos suggest a sculpt that’s both bold and true to the show’s original design.
Accessories and articulation included with Mondo’s Winston & Sandman figures
Based on what we’ve seen, Mondo didn’t skimp on the extras. Winston comes packed with a proton pack, particle thrower, ghost trap, journal and key, clear flight stand, swappable hands and even a mini version of the Sandman captured in a trap. That’s a serious kit for the team’s most grounded member.

Sandman, exclusive to the collector’s set, includes an alternate smiling head, sand-blast effect hands, a sand bag, straw accessory and his own stand. The articulation looks comparable to prior figures in the line, enough for action-ready posing without sacrificing sculpt.
Best Real Ghostbusters figures – Mondo Winston & Sandman edition

Let’s call it: this set might be the most complete yet. Mondo’s Real Ghostbusters Winston & Sandman figures balance nostalgia with collector-grade presentation. Winston is brimming with personality and practical gear, while Sandman brings one of the more unique animated ghosts into 3D form. The only real downside is the price, which pushes into premium territory. But with limited availability and cartoon-perfect execution, this release still ranks among the best Real Ghostbusters figures we’ve seen.
What’s next in the line and will Ray figure be bundled with Gash character?
Confirmed. Mondo has already teased the Ray & Ghash Collector’s Pack, set to follow this release. Like Winston & Sandman, it’ll come in at $202 and feature a fan-favourite ghost companion. This could drop before the end of the year, rounding out the core Ghostbusters team in animated form.
