If you’ve been dreaming of capturing the essence of 90s nostalgia with a dash of symbiote terror, Mondo’s latest Spider-Man: The Animated Series Venom figure might be the one you’ve been waiting for. This 1/6 scale figure pays tribute to Venom’s iconic appearances in the beloved 1994 series, featuring some truly impressive details.
Unpacking the Figure’s Highlights

Mondo has delivered this figure in both a Regular and Limited Edition, with the latter being a real treat for collectors. It includes a transforming Eddie Brock portrait and the slime-dripping “Venom Tongue” head sculpt, perfect for anyone who recalls Venom’s menacing personality in the animated series. The figure comes with a staggering array of accessories: from swappable hands to web splat effects, and even a hand holding Spider-Man’s mask (which, let’s be honest, is just Venom gloating at his best!).

With its highly detailed sculpt, accurate to the animated series look, and the poseable webbing, it feels like you’re getting more than just a figure—you’re getting a snapshot of the 90s Spider-Verse. The limited edition version adds the extra dimension of customisation with those bonus features, making the figure a showstopper on any display shelf
A Symbiotic Success?

From the photos Mondo has released, I have to say, this Venom figure looks like it jumped right out of the TV. The bold colours and exaggerated muscle tones scream Spider-Man: The Animated Series style. And let’s not forget that iconic slimy tongue—the stuff of nightmares for poor Peter Parker. The mix of detail, nostalgia, and customisation options here makes this a standout piece.

While it’s an investment (priced at around $240 for the Limited Edition), if you’re a die-hard Venom fan or just love the Animated Series, this could be well worth it. Plus, if you’ve already got Mondo’s Spider-Man figure or their Poison Ivy, this will sit nicely alongside them. You can check out my thoughts on those figures here and here.
Venom in Spider-Man: The Animated Series
Venom was first introduced in the Spider-Man: The Animated Series during the “Venom Saga” and quickly became one of Spider-Man’s most dangerous foes. The animated version of Eddie Brock’s transformation into Venom gave us a mix of horror and tragedy, perfectly captured in his design and portrayal. Venom was voiced by Hank Azaria, whose performance brought Brock’s simmering anger and eventual descent into symbiotic madness to life. Venom’s hulking, sinister presence has stuck with fans for decades, and Mondo’s figure does an excellent job of capturing that.
