Sideshow Collectibles has kicked off their Scum & Villainy Series with none other than the iconic Rodian bounty hunter, Greedo. Part of their 1/6 scale Star Wars figure line, Greedo’s intricate detailing and film-accurate outfit make this figure stand out. It captures the look and feel of the galaxy’s underworld, bringing to life this unlucky bounty hunter from Star Wars: A New Hope.

The Greedo figure is an impressive collectible, crafted with Sideshow’s signature quality. The detailing in Greedo’s textured skin, bright green hues, and iconic costume immediately catches the eye. Fans will appreciate the authenticity of his leather-like vest, the blaster, and his belt pouches, staying true to his infamous encounter with Han Solo in the Mos Eisley Cantina. With poseable features and a wide range of accessories, including alternate hands, this figure is both a showpiece and a customizable experience.

The figure marks the start of Sideshow’s Scum & Villainy line, which will focus on the shady, morally grey characters from across the Star Wars universe. Collectors can expect a broader range of figures, adding more depth to their collections.
My Kenner Greedo and How It Compares
Now, I’ve got to say, seeing this highly detailed Sideshow Greedo really brings me back to my childhood when I first got my hands on the Kenner Greedo figure. Mine might be a little worse for wear, but that chunky green figure, with its stiff limbs and blaster eternally fused to its hand, still holds a special place on my shelf. It’s incredible how far we’ve come since those days. The Kenner figure, although more nostalgic than screen-accurate, perfectly represents the simple joys of vintage collecting.

Looking at the Sideshow version, it’s like someone took that Kenner Greedo and threw him into a rejuvenation chamber. This 1/6 scale figure is so lifelike it almost feels like it could jump into the cantina scene itself. Speaking of which…
Greedo’s Iconic Moment in Star Wars: A New Hope
Before Greedo’s unfortunate demise at the hands of Han Solo in the Mos Eisley Cantina, he had the briefest moment of fame. His scene in Star Wars: A New Hope is the source of endless debate (Han shot first, right?). But let’s give Greedo his due: this overconfident, slightly inept bounty hunter will forever be remembered for trying to take down one of the galaxy’s most notorious smugglers.
In his bright green glory and bug-eyed confusion, Greedo has become a fan-favorite minor character. His appearance in the film left such an impression that despite his short screen time, we’ve seen him pop up across Star Wars Legends and expanded universe content (you can read more about Greedo’s Legends story here).
I still chuckle whenever I think about how he thought he could outgun Han. Sideshow’s figure nails that classic Greedo expression—equal parts determination and ‘what have I gotten myself into?’
Final Thoughts on Sideshow’s Greedo Figure
When it comes to high-end collectibles, Sideshow has knocked it out of the park with this Greedo figure. As a lifelong Star Wars fan (and someone with a bit of a soft spot for the goofy Kenner Greedo), this piece feels like a love letter to one of the most memorable side characters from the original trilogy. If you’re a fan of the galaxy’s Scum & Villainy, or just want to add an impeccably detailed figure to your collection, this is a must-have. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to revisit that infamous cantina shootout scene one more time.
