Buying the same character twice is always a tricky sell. Change a head, add some paint damage and suddenly we are being asked to find another space on the shelf.

The McFarlane Battle Damaged Catwoman figure has a better argument than most. This is not damage added just to make a variant. Selina Kyle spends the final part of Batman Returns looking increasingly battered, so this version represents a proper change in her appearance.

The Damage Is the Reason to Buy It
McFarlane already gave us a Batman Returns Catwoman figure in 2025. That release captured Michelle Pfeiffer in the famous stitched black catsuit before things really fall apart.
This new version goes after a different moment.

The damaged costume makes Catwoman look less neat and far more like the Selina we see towards the end of the film. That works for me because Batman Returns is a film where the costume tells part of the story. By the finale, those white stitches and torn sections are almost as important as the mask itself.
It also gives collectors who already bought the first figure a sensible choice. Keep the cleaner Catwoman beside Batman, or use this one for a final battle display.
A Strong Likeness Still Matters
Battle damage would mean very little if the figure stopped looking like Michelle Pfeiffer.
From the promotional images, the likeness still appears to be one of its stronger points. McFarlane has sometimes struggled with realistic film faces, especially when a sculpt looks good from one angle and slightly off from another. Catwoman seems to have avoided the worst of that.

The glossy black costume also helps. Its stitched design has plenty of sculpted detail without needing bright paint to make it interesting.
McFarlane lists up to 22 moving parts, which should give her enough movement for crouching and whip poses. High heels and the tight costume design may limit how natural some poses look, though. Until figures are properly in collectors’ hands, joint strength and final QC are still unknown.
The Accessories Feel Familiar
You get the whip, taser, display base and art card, with retailer information also listing an extra head.
The whip and taser are exactly what I would expect with this version of Catwoman. They are useful rather than random extras, and both connect directly to the film.

Still, $34.99 puts this above a basic DC Multiverse release. I would have liked another pair of hands or perhaps an extra damaged mask option to push the package further.
Anyone searching for the mcfarlane toys dc multiverse battle damaged catwoman batman returns deluxe theatrical edition price is looking at $34.99 in the US at launch. Listings for the mcfarlane toys dc multiverse battle damaged catwoman batman returns deluxe theatrical edition for sale are beginning to appear as the August release rolls out.
Is It Worth Buying Catwoman Again?
That depends almost entirely on whether you own the earlier figure.
If you missed that one, I would probably lean towards this DC Multiverse Batman Returns Catwoman figure. The damaged appearance has more personality and represents a memorable part of the film.

If the clean version is already standing on your shelf, the decision is harder. The Battle Damaged Catwoman Deluxe Theatrical Edition offers a different look, but $34.99 is still a fair amount for another version of the same character.
For a dedicated Batman Returns display, I can see the appeal straight away. Put her with Keaton’s Batman and a Penguin figure and the damaged suit helps create a proper late-film scene rather than a row of characters standing around.

For everyone else, this is more of a character-specific purchase than a line essential.
The McFarlane Catwoman Batman Returns figure was already one of the more interesting movie releases in the range. Giving Selina a battered final-act version makes sense. I just wish the deluxe price came with a little more in the box.
