Super7 could have played this very safely. Give us Invincible, throw in Omni-Man, add a variant and call it Wave 1.
Instead, the Super7 Invincible Wave 1 figures start with four characters that actually give collectors something to build around. Invincible is joined by Allen the Alien, Thragg and Angstrom Levy, all based on their comic appearances.
There is a catch, though. These are $30 figures with 32 points of articulation, but there is not a single extra accessory between them.

Invincible
The standard Super7 Invincible figure is the obvious starting point, and the comic look suits Super7’s style.
Mark has his familiar yellow, blue and black suit with the light blue goggles. The sculpt looks clean rather than overloaded with detail, which is the right approach for the source material.
Thirty-two points of articulation should give him enough movement for flying and fighting poses. What he lacks is variety. There are no spare hands, alternate expressions or flight effects.
That becomes more noticeable when you compare him with the upcoming Jada Toys Invincible Wave 1 figures, which take a more accessory-heavy approach in a smaller 1:12 scale.
Allen the Alien
The Super7 Allen the Alien figure is probably the character I am most pleased to see this early.
Allen immediately breaks up the usual human body shapes. He is broader, heavier and much more colourful than Mark, so putting the two together should make the line feel less repetitive.
The large build also makes the $30 price easier to accept. You are still getting no accessories, but at least Allen uses considerably more plastic than a standard human figure.
From the official images, the proportions look right for the comic design. The real test will be whether those 32 articulation points work smoothly with that thicker body.
Angstrom Levy
The Super7 Invincible Angstrom Levy figure might be the strongest sculpt in the wave.
That enlarged head is the whole point of the character’s later design, and Super7 has not tried to tone it down. It gives the figure an odd shape that should look great alongside the more traditional superhero bodies.
Again, there are no portal effects or other extras. That feels like a missed chance with Angstrom in particular. Even one simple dimensional portal piece would have given him far more display options.
Still, as a character choice, he is excellent. Getting a major villain like this in Wave 1 suggests Super7 wants to build beyond the obvious names.
Thragg
Thragg gives Invincible Wave 1 Super7 its big Viltrumite threat.
His wider frame and serious expression work well, and he should create a good contrast with Mark even without elaborate posing. This is the sort of character where the basic sculpt matters more than piles of small accessories.
The $30 price also becomes interesting when placed beside Super7’s other formats. Our look at Super7 SilverHawks ULTIMATES Wave 8 shows how much more expensive the ULTIMATES line has become, although those figures also include far more extra parts.
That seems to be the deal with these Super7 DELUXE Invincible figures. You pay less and get a simpler box.
For collectors searching for Super7 Deluxe Invincible Wave 1 figures for sale, I would not automatically buy all four. Allen and Angstrom are my early standouts because their designs bring something different. Invincible is the necessary anchor, while Thragg makes far more sense if you are committed to building the wider comic cast.
At $30 each, I can live with the simpler format. I just wish Super7 had included at least a couple of character-specific extras.
