Super7 Micronauts ReAction+ Figures Add Clear Time Traveler and Acroyear

Super7 has reached the point with Micronauts where the line is starting to feel less like a handful of retro releases and more like a proper collection. Wave 06 helps with that.

The latest Super7 Micronauts ReAction+ figures bring us a blue Acroyear alongside another Time Traveler, this time moulded in clear plastic. Both lean heavily into what made the old toys interesting, with shiny finishes, unusual designs and more movement than you might expect from the ReAction name.

Acroyear Is the Big Addition Here

For me, Acroyear is the figure that gives this wave its reason to exist.

The Micronauts Acroyear ReAction+ figure stands around 4 inches tall and has 12 points of articulation. That matters because Micronauts were known for being unusually poseable toys back in the 1970s. A basic five-point retro figure would have missed much of their appeal.

The blue armour looks strong in the promotional images, especially with the shiny vac-metal finish. Vac metal is the reflective chrome-like coating used on plenty of vintage toys, and it suits Micronauts perfectly.

You also get an Acro-Blade and Wing Pack. Better still, the feet can roll. That is the sort of odd little play feature I like seeing carried across to a modern version.

It gives Acroyear more personality than a simple static remake.

Clear Time Traveler Is Familiar, but Different Enough

Time Traveler collectors have already had several colours to chase, so another version could easily feel like an easy repaint. Going completely clear makes this one a bit more interesting.

The Micronauts clear Time Traveler figure has a transparent body, silver vac-metal head details and a removable gold chest plate. It is a simple combination, but the contrast between clear plastic and shiny metallic parts works.

Anyone who picked up the previous Phobos and translucent orange Time Traveler will know what Super7 is doing here. Different Time Travelers can build into a colourful little group rather than making each release replace the last.

Again, there are 12 points of articulation. At this scale that should give collectors enough movement for straightforward standing and action poses.

We are still judging these from promotional material, though. Clear plastic can show scratches and mould marks more easily than solid plastic, while vac-metal parts need careful handling. Final production QC is something we cannot judge from these images.

A Micronauts Line That Is Starting to Fill Out

The clear Time Traveler and Acroyear figures make more sense when viewed as part of the wider collection.

Super7 has already covered characters including Baron Karza, Biotron, Force Commander, Microtron, Emperor and Phobos. We looked at the earlier direction of the range in our Super7 Micronauts ReAction+ overview, while Baron Karza and Biotron showed how well the format can suit the stranger Micronauts designs.

Acroyear pushes that line-up forward rather than simply giving us another colour variation.

That is important with Micronauts. Part of the original appeal came from having a strange group of robots, warriors and interchangeable-looking sci-fi characters together. The more varied the modern line becomes, the better that idea works.

Are They Worth $25 Each?

Twenty-five dollars is not cheap for a 4-inch figure, so the details matter.

Acroyear feels like the stronger deal. You get 12 points of articulation, two accessories, rolling feet and the vac-metal finish. There is enough going on to make the price easier to accept.

Time Traveler is a tougher call if you already own several versions. The clear body looks great, but this is more likely to appeal to collectors building a Time Traveler colour set.

For anyone searching for Micronauts ReAction+ Clear Time Traveler and Acroyear for sale, Super7 has also listed the two together for $50. There is no saving there, but it keeps the wave together.

I would be picking Acroyear first. The clear Time Traveler looks smart beside him, but Acroyear adds something genuinely new to the growing Micronauts display.
