Threezero’s latest entry into their Transformers MDLX line takes off with a fantastic new figure of Acid Storm. This lesser-known Seeker is famous for his green and camo-inspired colour scheme, and Threezero has truly delivered on this front with an intricately detailed and articulated figure that stands out in any collection.

From what I’ve seen in the photos (and I’ve stared at them a lot), Acid Storm looks like a miniature work of art. With weathered paint apps that make it seem like he’s fresh out of battle and ready to take on the Autobots, he’s more than just a repaint. He’s the star of the show!
Detailed Look at the Transformers MDLX Acid Storm Figure

Threezero continues to impress with their MDLX line. Acid Storm measures around 18 cm (7 inches) tall, making him a perfect display piece that doesn’t hog your entire shelf. But, what really sets him apart from some of the other MDLX figures is his sleek design and bold use of colours. The green camouflage pattern blends seamlessly with a futuristic metallic finish, giving him a gritty but vibrant look.

In terms of articulation, Acid Storm is fully poseable, thanks to his 36 points of articulation. He comes with a variety of accessories, including interchangeable hands and weaponry—perfect for recreating some aerial battles. Honestly, I can’t wait to try posing him alongside my Transformers Deluxe Megatron VHS figure from the VHS collection. Acid Storm’s aerodynamic design is a bit reminiscent of the old-school jet forms, but with a modern twist.
Thoughts on the Figure’s Design

I’ve always had a soft spot for the lesser-known Seekers, and Acid Storm has been long overdue for a proper, high-quality figure. Threezero has managed to capture the essence of this character brilliantly. The details on his face, the weathered look of his wings, and even the subtle metallic finish make him feel like a premium figure. And let’s not ignore how good he’ll look next to other MDLX figures like the MDLX Megatron. Oh, and for those who already snagged the MDLX Mega Man Fire Storm figure, you’ll find the scale of Acid Storm fits just as well with other high-end figures.
The Seekers: More Than Just Starscream’s Posse

For those who might be unfamiliar, the Seekers are a faction of Decepticon aerial fighters, led by Starscream, and they often come in different colour variants. Acid Storm is one of the lesser-known Seekers but has gained quite a bit of a cult following due to his unique abilities and appearance. Acid Storm, unlike the more popular trio (Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker), uses weather-altering abilities, making him a fascinating addition to any Decepticon army.
Though Acid Storm has appeared in different Transformers series, from G1 to Cyberverse, his appearances are more like Easter eggs for hardcore fans. That’s what makes this figure even more exciting—it’s a deeper cut for those of us who love digging into the lore of the Transformers universe.
If you want to learn more about the Seekers as a group, they have always fascinated me, with their sleek jet forms and colourful variants. Unlike Starscream’s constant betrayal antics, Acid Storm has often flown under the radar—quiet, but deadly. He’s a bit of a wildcard, and that’s exactly how I’d describe this figure.
Where Does Acid Storm Fit in My Collection?
Acid Storm is going to be a standout in my collection, and I think anyone who loves Transformers MDLX figures is going to find him irresistible. The design alone makes him worth the price, but combine that with the high articulation, accessories, and overall craftsmanship, and you’ve got a figure that’s not just for play—it’s a display-worthy masterpiece. If you’re into the latest toy news, you won’t want to miss this one.
Be sure to keep an eye on Threezero’s releases, especially if they keep dropping lesser-known characters like this. Acid Storm’s the perfect figure to balance your collection of Decepticons.
